When you create a Linksys smart wifi account, you must activate your account before you can place your device from a remote location. If you want that you can change the SSID and wifi access password for your device from a remote location then first access Linksys smart wifi account and activate your account.

Steps for Activating your Linksys Connect Utility

When you need to activate your Linksys connect utility, you will need to access the email ID that you are having. 

Make sure that you are accessing the email ID that is associated to your Linksys smart wifi account.

There you will find an activating email, so open that mail.
In the email you will find the activating email so make sure that you can easily activate your account from there. 

These are the steps for activating your Linksys smart wifi account for your home network. If you are not satisfied with the performance of your Linksys utility then you can easily delete your account any time. You will not need to get any complicated task for deleting your account and just as creating Linksys connect utility is free, you can also delete this utility.
